LP gas water heater pilot would not light.

Had some new LP gas line and tank installed, after all leak checks were good, fire up the water heater. Got hot water and the next morning still working good and reheating after a shower. Get home from work, fix dinner and wash dishes, no hot water. Check the indicator light, its off. Try to relight pilot and nothing. After doing all the troubleshooting listed in the manual and various websites, I checked to make sure there was a gas to the control valve which there was.

Next, I removed the pilot feed tube from the control valve and pressed the control button, no gas. I removed the gas line again and the adapter fitting and found some flaky debris in the adapter and inside the control valve. Vacuumed the debris and reassembled and the pilot lit right off and hot water again.
