Noritz NRC111 overview

NRC111-SV and NRC111-DV superior performance

Noritz NRC1111Noritz water heaters from NRC111 series are designed for the indoor and outdoor installation (model NRC111-SV) and indoor installation only with the direct vent (model NRC111-DV).

In both cases water heaters use either natural gas or propane (LP) gas for residential water heating, mainly. These models are suitable for large homes and multiple applications.

They can also be used in commercial applications; offices, mechanic shops, small restaurants, schools...

As the NRC111 models are designed as condensing tankless water heaters, they use the residual heat from the flue gases to pre-heat the cold incoming water, and this is what increases the energy efficiency to over 90%. Thanks to the high energy efficiency of 93-94%, NRC111 water heaters will provide not only great performance, but lower greenhouse gases, savings on utility bills and government grants as the Energy Star recognized units.

Features

Dual heat exchangers

Noritz NRC111 tankless water heaters are equipped with the two heat exchangers. One is made of the combination of stainless steel and copper for water pre-heating and the other, commercial-grade heat exchanger, with the 25% thicker piping for efficient, durable and reliable water heating.

Flexible vent installation

Thanks to the condensing technology, Noritz NRC111 water heaters are working with the lower exhaust temperatures, so instead of using expensive stainless steel venting, they use cheaper PVC or CPVC vents.

Fully modulating Eco-burner

Both NRC111-SV and DV models are using dual flame burners for the maximum heating output and less temperature fluctuation. Thanks to the modulation, the heater's computer system automatically adjusts the burner level according to the requirement. They can work from as low as 11,000 Btu/hr to the maximum 199,000 Btu/hr, and provide hot water with a temperature range from 100 F to the maximum of 180 F. On the other side minimum water flow is as other models, 0.5 gpm while maximum water flow of 11.1 gallons per minute is one of the highest.

Connecting Noritz models

Quick Connect cable allows two identical Noritz NRC111 units to provide twice the hot water capacity of one unit. For even more power and water flow, multi-system can be used, as up to 24 units can be linked and operated by a single controller.

Worry-free ignition

As other Noritz tankless water heaters, NRC111 models are not using the pilot light, but direct electronic ignition that automatically lights the burner.

Versatility

Noritz condensing water heaters are not used for heating the potable water only, but for space heating also. These units have combi-system set up, which allows versatility.

Remote control

The remote control is very simply, but functional. Digital display shows the temperature, and the error code which flashes when the error occurs. Other commands include the setting and ON-OFF buttons, indicators and flow meter alarm set button.

Self diagnostic system for easy troubleshooting

The self-diagnostic on-board computer system knows when something is wrong with your water heater, and will show the error code such as 11, 29, 90, 92, 99 on the remote control display... for easier diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Safety devices

  • Flame sensor
  • The thermal fuse for the overheat prevention
  • Freeze protection to - 30 F for an indoor and -4 F for outdoor models.
  • Lighting protection device
  • Neutralizer overfill
  • Fan rotation detector

Summary

Noritz NRC111 models are the most efficient tankless water heaters. They are not using the tankless water heating technology only, but condensing also, for greener operation. As the Energy Star approved, they save the energy, produce less NOx gases and put less waste on the environment. The manufacturer provides a warranty of 12 years on the heat exchanger.
