Bosch PowerStar AE125 Does not keep up anymore
I have a Bosch PowerStar AE125 electric tankless water heater and it has worked fine for 3 years but in the past 3 weeks it does not produce hot water in the quantity we are used to. When we have more than a sink faucet running (i.e. bathtub, washer, etc.) the red light on the front blinks instead of maintaining a constant light when generating hot water.
I checked the filter screen and flow propeller and all seems clear. Today I turned down the water temperature knob to almost off and the red light stayed on during the hot water demand but the water was not hot, barely luke warm.
I have municipal water which comes from a lake but it has not been flushed for scaling as there was no mention of the procedure by anyone. I have noticed on you tube this seems to be a real point and I am wondering if scale build up could be causing the problem?
